Ferrini boots are handcrafted from high grade natural leathers and the finest materials available with careful attention to each detail to ensure every pair is a great fit.
Wide Selection of Sizes
Ferrini manufactures boots in full and half-sizes to allow you to find a personal fit as close as possible.
Many of our men’s styles are offered in both standard and wide widths as determined by the USA footwear industry.
Men’s standard width is the equivalent of our “D” width and typically are available from size 8 – 13.
Men’s wide width is the equivalent of our “EE” width.
Ferrini’s full line of ladies boots are available in the industry standard “B” width and typically range in size from 6 – 10.
Ferrini kids boots are available in the standard medium width and available in size 8 – 3.
Finding The Perfect Ferrini Fit
When buying a pair of Ferrini boots, try them on with the socks you would normally wear and give them a test walk on a carpeted surface.
Western boots should initially slip a small amount in the heel, typically about 1/4 to 1/2 inch, which is necessary for a proper fit. As you wear the boot, the sole will begin to “flex” and in minimal time most of the slippage you feel will disappear as the boot conforms to the shape of your foot. If the slip feels excessive you may want to wear a thicker sock or you may need a half size smaller boot. We can also recommend using an insert or insole that you can purchase at any local drugstore to take up any extra space in your new boots.
For a perfect fit, the ball of your foot (widest part of your foot) should be in the widest part of the outsole of the boot, regardless of the toe box shape you are considering.
Unlike a shoe with laces, a boot has only the instep to hold it in place. They should fit snug across the instep when they are new. Remember that as you continue to wear the boots, the leather will relax (stretch slightly) and soften over time. Buying boots too big will result in excessive slippage as they are worn.
Every boot, regardless of style, has a toe box. Your toes should have a little wiggle room inside the toe box with a proper fitting boot.
Measurement Tips & Tools
Please note, the following is a guideline only for determining your recommended boot size and not a fit guarantee.
Measure both feet. Some people have one foot slightly larger than the other. Choose the size that fits the larger of the two.
Consider the socks you’ll wear most often with your boots. For thicker socks, or if you prefer to add an additional insole, you may want to order boots a half size larger than you normally wear.
Measure your feet in the afternoon, when feet tend to be their largest.
If you require a wide width and no wide width sizes are available, try a half size larger in the regular width.
How To Measure
Place or tape a piece of paper to the floor that is larger than your feet.
Using a pencil or pen, trace both feet.
Draw a straight line at the top of the toe and the bottom of the heel of each outline.
Using a measuring tape, measure the distance between the lines on both outlines.
Use the longest measurement (your biggest foot) to determine total length in inches.
Refer to the boot chart for size.
NOTE: Your feet are three dimensional and your ruler or measuring tape in two dimensional so the calculation will be an approximation.
